Going Shopping

Much shopping happened yesterday as we attempted to see whether or not
my mother could manage climbing into the Durango.
Mention retail therapy, and that woman develops super human abilities.
So I donned my usual footwear of choice and out we went!
Where?
 Guess.
We were back out after dinner for a very good reason:
The general manager of Home Depot called.
He'd heard and read of our Adirondack travails and wanted to make things right.
I told him that while I appreciated that, we'd redrilled the remaining problem areas
and substituted our own hardware.
He offered a refund.
I declined, explaining we'd already painted it and could not in good conscience return it.
He didn't want the bench back...
...he just wanted to give us back our money.
I fished the receipt out of the bottom of a purse I haven't carried in a month
my accurately labeled filing system, and off we went!

The refund never left the store.
I'd be willing to bet he knew that would happen.
So, although I have some projects to play with today,
we'll be changing out spots from flats to fluffy slippers.
 Call it marabou therapy.
Going into the side yard with a market umbrella, empty frames, and spray paint.
BRB.
If not back, avenge death.

That's called GREAT customer service!!! My other life was in retail management and he did what he was suppose to do. Good for you and him, too! You have to let corporate know. That manager lives for that!
