I {Heart} How Easy This Was

My family was equally pleased with the new tabletop,
and the fact that I'd found the Diablo Manual.
Geeks...
But that's not where we're stopping.
After dinner, with the lights still glowing, I pulled out a few decorations.
I nabbed these on clearance last year at Joanns,
but I saw something very similar at The Dollar Tree.
They're thin foam with sticker backs.
These are foil cardstock hearts with ribbon hangers.
Duh.
So this is a simple idea, and we'll just throw it together.
You aren't going to need complicated instructions.

I added a couple of glittery birds from Christmas for some extra sparkle.

 Simple, and not permanent.
Me and my commitment issues.
It makes a nice, loving statement on our table, a nightly reminder
that in my house, you're loved for who you are,
no matter how weird you might be.

And speaking of trees...

...remember this little creation in the kitchen for Christmas?
I got copied!
My real life best friend, Michael Reilly of New York, a Mister Mom and aspiring chef,
fell hard for my tree and whipped up his own version!
He wasn't able to find my plastic playset cookware
(and trust me, we were texting like maniacs trying to track it down up there),
so he did the next best thing...he ordered his 1:12 scale dollhouse pots and pans
online, picked up a tabletop tree at Home Depot,
and raided his local dollar store for red and green beaded garland.
All in all, he spent only about $20!
The part he likes best?
The whole thing went in a plastic bag and up to the attic for next year.

Anytime you do one of our projects, send me a photo and the details!
You did the work...show off a little.

Fellow Featured Bloggers

First things first.
THANK YOU for your patience with my bad, bad blogging manners.
I am so behind on my visits it's sick.
But if you want to know about annuities, I'm your girl.
We will not be blogging about them however.
I still may do the laundry folding tutorial I keep threatening.

But I digress...
Is there anything more complimentary than when another crafter takes your idea and runs with it?
Two such ladies let me know they've been inspired by my adhesive madness~
Check out what they've been up to!
Remember my Crate and Barrel hack candlesticks? Bambi at Crafting Occurs really liked them.
She threw together a pair for herself. And I think she officially now has a problem with Goop.
Bambi also liked THIS project so much that she made her own version.
How's that for a girly take on a jeweled vase?
FemminaDaVinci, AKA Erin, at Amateur Hour in NC also got the supplies together to create herself a little beachy romance.
 Tall and stately...
...and filled with shells she collected from Clearwater Beach!

Didn't those turn out cool? Pop over and pay these ladies a visit;
they have a lot of great ideas!

You Made One Too?

Well I got a surprise Friday doing my usual blog hopping-
Bambi over at Crafting Occurs made a CAKESTAND!
Well, actually, the little maniac made TWO and didn't tell me!
Didn't her versions turn out great?

Remember, if one of my projects inspires you to create something, let me know, and we'll show it off!

You Made One Too?

I love when I find a craft on someone else's blog and I HAVE to make it.
And I usually do my own sick little twist. I love it even more when you guys make one of my projects and totally put your own signature on it.

Nikki at The Best Part of Believe just paid me quite the compliment:

I love the cut glass base and the textured plate, don't you?
And the sparkly bling she jazzed hers up with is too cool!
Thanks for sharing, Nikki!
