You Can Paint Almost Anything

Can you spray paint almost anything? In my quest to cover smoke damage, I've been finding that the answer is largely "yes." The downstairs bathroom is a horrible mess since it's adjacent to the fire room. I just remodeled it 3 years ago, and it looks like I'm going to have to rip it out again. The floor is sagging, my lovely bubble wallpaper is peeling and streaked with smoke and water, and everything is just stained now. But it does help to get a few things looking fresh on the cheap.

Yes, I painted the Feline Overlords' Powder Room. Plastic primer and Aqua paint. Why do they make these things in gray anyway?
The magazine basket and the wicker trash can got the same color treatment.
Next up will be this cabinet. It's partially MDF, so I marveled at my good fortune that it didn't have any real damage from the fire hose blasts! Obviously I'll be giving this a little refresh, but I think I might do something more fun than just a coat of paint.

Suggestions?

I love how you spray painted the cats' "powder room"! Haha, that's great - and I actually love it! It makes me want to spray paint our boring dog crate to a more pleasing and happy color other than grey. Do the cats notice the upgrades on their throne room? :)

I never spray paint anything but since reading your blog, I'm starting to think about it! I even looked at some yesterday at WallyWorld! :)

Chelsea, I'm sure the cats appreciate anything their servants do to please them. And by all means, paint the crates. It amazes me what I've lived with in the color it came in. When I realize I have a choice, that's where the fun kicks in!
