As I may have mentioned in passing, we had a house fire.
And most of our collected holiday decorations became a big puddle of goo.
I'm still not planning to have a naked front porch come October 31st though.
What you'll need for this quick and easy project is:
4 plastic jack-o-lantern treat carriers
2 pairs of costume tights. Mine were purple and black stripe and acid green and black stripe.
2 Dollar Tree feather boas
A sharp knife
First, use your knife to cut out the features, just like carving a pumpkin.
Yeah, that's scary already, huh?
Next, pull one leg of the tights over your pumpkin.
Adjust the tautness so you've got desired coverage and pattern.
Cut the hose off at the top and bottom.
Grab your hot glue gun, and working in small sections, fold the top of the tights in and adhere them to the plastic.
There we go!
Now, using big glops of glue on the outside, start attaching your feather boa.
Once you have it all the way around, trim it to fit and glue both ends down well.
Drop your tap lights in shining upwards, turn out the lights, and enjoy!
How's that for $4 worth of spooky fun?
You noticed other pumpkins, did you?
We'll discuss those tomorrow...
