What's Blooming?

Ah, the tropics. While most of the country is digging out sweaters,
we're still in shorts, and things are still blooming.
Next week, I'll have some new orchids to show off.
They're a little shy right now.
Until then, here's a wild vine that has eaten the fence on our western property line.
Along with feathery ferns and philodendron, it's engulfed the fence completely, and I'm all for letting it. I consider chain link to be basically a trellis. It may be an unattractive fencing choice, but anything else is destroyed by a hurricane.
Happy Sunday.

Hi Sunny,
Orchids are my favorites soo beautiful did you know that there are between 22,000 and 26,000+ species of orchids. The iris is my most loved one. Thank you so much for giving me a little splash of the tropics. I do miss the warmth of Florida although I know when it is time to leave the UK I will miss all the surreal scenery and all the green green green everywhere and the English gardens. OOOPs Sorry to ramble.
Have a fun filled day, Firedancer

Oh my gosh, that vine is to die for!!! I envy your flowers. Our Trees are almost bare here in TN. I would move south in a heartbeat. I envy your warm weather!!

I can't imagine. Although it is sunny here right now, there is fog in the valley and it is in the 50's. Oh well, I am thankful that it's not raining for the kids tonight; we'll just layer up!

Beautiful vine invasion. My bromeliad plants have been a riot of color this past week. I love the Land of Warm!

Oh! I used to have that vine and one day it ate up my complete gazebo.(-: Very, very pretty and like many pretty things hard to control. I hope you will post a picture of the orchid when it blooms...they are so beautiful and the flowers last for such a long time.

That vine is AWESOME! We unfrotunatley have nothing that fab here on our metal fence. Metal chain link fences are the devil, if you ask me. They attract and harbor weeds, and waste weedwhackers. I'm glad you have good stuff covering them. And please stop bragging about living in south Floriday. Thanks. :)
