Critical Mass

I built this particular bookcase with my own two delicate little hands. It's a very sturdy piece that survived many traumatic things in the last 25 years, from wild parties to toddlers to fires.

This may be all it can handle, however. Meet the business end of Hugs, also known as Lunchbox, Tons of Fun, Critical Mass Cat, Storage Locker 12, Full Eclipse, The Most Cat for Your Money, Free Weight, Feed Bag, He Who Blocks Out the Sun, Meatloaf, The Hudge, and The Cat Who Ate New Jersey.
This is a good perch for spreading your ample self out and watching lizards on the screen.
Lizards that you, personally, have no interest in catching. But should one be hand delivered, you will accept. Graciously.
Jack sees no point to this post and is insulted by his inclusion.

Very humorous! We have a walking rectangle ourselves... he was on a diet, once. But he became very cantankerous... swatting our legs and hissing when we would walk by so after 2 lbs. we called it quits. He gets up for two things... food and, well, actually just food:)

Hugs does not seem at all upset that this very unflattering, up close photo has been taken of his 'business end'. How funny!

That is one hefty cat. Holy smokes! (No pun intended... okay maybe it was intended.)

Heather, I exhibit very similar behavior when dieting. It's never pretty.

Sherri, I think he was posing. In the cat world, fat is in.

Amanda, with puns like that, I'm putting your resume' on file just in case we need writers in the future.

How much does that boy weigh?!?! That's priceless! I've got a plus size 14 year old buff tabby whose critical mass I've given up on. The behavioral issues that followed weren't pretty and I got tired of washing bedding if ya know what I mean.

Annie, I'm not sure about the poundage on that prize porker, but my husband does grunt when he uses him for arm curls.

And yes, I DO know what you mean...

Oh My Goodness!! I can totally identify with that cat!! Love me or leave me alone!!

Oh, he's loved, never fear. He's actually in that position because butt scritches were occurring. The Feline Overlords are never ignored.

What a great cat!! Love him. All of him! Mine is just the opposite. Due to a thyroid problem (now being medicated) She was a boney thing.

I think Jack needed to be in the post because he made me smile!

He's a cutie, but I have a feeling he thinks he's too cool to be cute...
