10 Minute Pillows

Admittedly, this is a slight reboot, and those of you who already saw me do this in April can change the channel. The truth is, I got some more of these great placemats for $1.50 on clearance, and well, they needed to get stuffed. So there.
Start with placemats that are double layered. These were from Target, on big time clearance. SCORE!
With a stitch ripper, carefully open a seam between the layers about 6 inches wide.
Separate the layers, stuff and pin the opening.
Hand stitch shut using tiny stitches to mimic the original.

Toss them on your couch for a splash of color!
Imagine how quickly you could whip these up seasonally for a song.

You always find the best placemats at great prices! They really are punchy and bright (kinda like you!!).

LOVE the new header...va voom!

This print would go perfectly as outdoor throw pillows on our patio. Right on top of the imaginary new furniture that doesn't sit there. At least I've got an idea of what to do for cheap and easy pops of color when I finally get around to re-doing the back yard! Great idea!

Nice! It's like a whole flippin pillow minus the stuffing! Speaking of stuffing, did you use a form or just that loose stuff? Either way, what a cool easy project. And cheap. Love it.

Thanks, Heather, glad you approve!

Sarah, I can't wait to see what you do.

Amanda, I just crammed stuffing in them, nothing fancy at all.

Such a cool idea - I never would have thought of that!

Very cool, Sunny... you are a creative one!

Thanks for your comment on my post earlier... so glad you like the goggles:)

I would have loved to do the cracker recipe today also but after frying my brains trying to figure out picasaweb I had to just give up! I am telling you I spent hours with nothing to show for it! I wanted to make a collage but for some reason I think my Mac doesn't work quite right with the program. Have you ever tried it (picasa)?

Hi Heather,

Thanks for the compliment!

I'll keep watching for the cracker recipe...

I'm not really a mac person, that would be the hubbie, but he uses iPhoto and Pages. He actually teaches this stuff. He also suggests Paintbrush, which is a free download. Does that help at all? Let me know if you need more information.

Fantastic! I remember the original post about this project, but it's a good one so I don't mind the repeat. :) I also wanted to say that I LOVE YOUR NEW HEADER! Cracks me up. It's perfect!

Awesome idea!! I'm going to start watching the Target placemats for sales. They usually have pretty cute fabrics. Thanks!
