A Glimpse into Our Bedroom

Well, between Hurricane Wilma, a bee hive in my walls, and a major fire, my bedroom became less of a retreat and more of a chopped up disaster and alternative storage. I bought new linens last July, which the firemen jumped up on to smash out the windows over my bed.
This is why I can't have nice things!

Ahem. Sorry, channeling my mother for a minute.
We're planning to keep all of the furniture and just redo it. The bed is the focal point (15 years old and I'm still in LOVE with it!); all of the furniture is mismatched and darker stains. We're going to take care of that too.
You already saw what we did with the ceiling fan; those bamboo nightstands are tomorrow!
In addition, this year, we did new lamps, freshened some hat boxes, redid my jewelry box, stitched up some coral pillows, and blinged a couple of mirrors, all for this space! Along with serene white furnitore and touches of blue, we're going for vacation retreat. Wanna help?
So let's see just how much good all of my light reading has done me, shall we?

I'm loving your bed!! You already live in a resort area so why not make your room reflect that reality! Can't wait to see what you cook up.

I can't believe I had a "This is why..." moment yesterday after seeing my boyfriend's dirty feet all over my new white duvet. When I purchase things, I seem to foolishly think I live in a tidy house, and then I'm reminded that I live with a dog who drags ketchup out of the trash can :(

I love your bed. I am in awe of you go get em attitude. I say this in the best possible way but you would be an awesome Warden in a prison. You would straighten the whole darn place out. I know this b/c I was a RN in the Dept. of Corrections in Ga. before I retired. I retired early b/c of the nonsense going on and health issues. hugs♥olive now are you laughing at me or smirking?
