Patio Furniture!

Fine. I'm sorry. I don't know a lot of clean jokes.

So you may remember when I asked for your help with what color to paint my patio furniture, and we came up with THIS. 

And I definitely fell in love with your idea.

With the setee all fresh and painted, and the GARDEN STOOLS looking crisp, something had to be done with the rest of the chairs, which were molting.

These were painted last summer with spray paint meant for plastic. Let us never speak of it again.

My favorite part is how family and guests would get up with flakes of paint all over their arms and thighs. Like cupcakes with sprinkles.

It doesn't stick to outdoor wicker, but people? Like glue.

So let's drag this freak show into the yard.

Using a stiff, dry brush get the dirt and loose paint off of these suckers.

And it came up fast!

Make sure you're on a tarp, obviously, and space the chairs.

Now, the advantage, besides durability, to using plastic primer is that you are not limited in your paint choices. Go nuts!

Give your pieces a nice liberal coat

Allow to dry according to the directions. I usually wait an hour. I can find things to do.

Now, three light coats of Rustoleum Gloss Black for full coverage, top and bottom, and walk around the chair to make sure there aren't any bald spots.

Better? Are you kidding?

Now when your Mom gets home, she'll do the night time staging photos.

Because you're a bunch of teenagers.

And you did this while she was at the office from her blog instructions.
