Let's Get This Spring Thing Started

Alrighty, as you all know we're at a bit of a stand still here on the paint horizon due to bodily injury, so I got a bit of gardening done this last weekend.
And for container gardening, we require pots.

Pots that get 3 light coats of aqua for full coverage.
Because orchids deserve only the best.

While those are drying, gather your supplies:
Silicone adhesive
Dollar Tree flat backed marbles
The scissors are just to open the mesh bag.
Aren't these cool?
Put a little silicone adhesive on the back of the marble...
...and stick it on the pot. Seriously. That's it.
Play with any pattern you want.

Prop them horizontally to dry.
Then go find that pretty orchid and tell her she has a new blinged up home.

There's nothing like a little sparkle in the garden, is there?
If anyone wants the math on this, each pot was $1.47, and the $1 bag of marbles was enough to do all 4 pots with some left over. I already had the aqua spray paint. It's my crack.

Very pretty! And great photos, too :)

I may have to stop reading your blog. This whole "look at Sunny's life in warm and sunny Florida" thing is really making me want to pack up and move from the North.

I love your orchids. I am death to all orchids sadly. I am maybe going to trim my monkey grass today!

Those are cool! I wouldn't have ever thought of using them for this - love the geometric blingity bling.

Oooh, I loves me some bling! Neat pattern, too. It's nice to look at these photos and dream of warm weather as it's snowing inches and inches here!

Girlfriend!! Slooowwww dooowwwwn!! I am hanging on to every little piece of cold; it's just too effin' hot during a Texas summer to complain when is cold.

Love it! I'd love to be able to try orchids, but this land of snow and cold and fickle sunshine is too darn difficult. My jade plant is growing like crazy though, now that it's in full sun all day.

I'm still only just dreaming of gardening from my snowy winter wonderland. This makes me long to get my fingers in the dirt and I can't wait to borrow the idea! I may have to do this for my germination trays just to get more bling in my life!

What?!? Where do you live??? We're buried under 9 feet of snow and can't go outside or our eyeballs will freeze! I just DREAM of live plants. Literally. DREAM OF THEM.
