We've Been Busy

Well, I haven't been on any blogs or really answered any emails in days. Life and work have been crazy, and what with getting Mom AND Sammy back and forth from doctors' appointments, keeping up with the house (sorta), 45 minute commutes and later nights at the office, I just have not had time!
Oh, yeah, and the dog is pretty demanding.

We have been getting things done, like slipcovering the IKEA chairs in fresh new cotton duck.

And I finally found the outdoor rug of my dreams for the dining room, courtesy of Home Depot and Martha Stewart. With my crew, the whole hose-it-clean concept is appealing.

We also did a massive repotting and planting last weekend. Mom is a Master Gardener, so I hauled her out on the patio, wheelchair and all, pulled her up to the coffee table and handed her my gardening bag.
Slave labor. If you live with me, get used to it.

The orchid you see here is blooming for the first time, so you and I will both be surprised together!
Sam made the most heavenly coq au vin. If you've ever attempted this recipe, you know it's not a quickly thrown together kind of thing.
And we flea treated the cats, not with their cooperation.
Talk about overly dramatic.
We've also made more silly fleece hats, including this very chic Mudkip edition,
suitable for male or female fashionistas.
Although not everyone appreciates the high style value of this particular piece.
Today, however, I'm going to try and be a better blogger and get back out there.
Before you guys decide to stop coming here.
You wouldn't do that, right?

You make me tired just looking at all your projects and accomplishments. I love the fleece hats. I have a four year old that would want to wear that to bed.

You've done a lot for someone with such a busy schedule.

You will love the area rug (as you know I have two of them in my house).

I don't know how you do it all!

My son loves mudkips!! He says the word as many times as possible throughout the day. I didn't know what it was for the longest time...

How great that your mom is a master gardener! I want one of those:) The coq au vin looks delish... and we toyed around with the idea of calling Gary Coco (spelled coq au)... do you think that would give him a complex?

Everything looks great... I hope you are able to breath soon:)

Sh!t happens, right? And it's not like we get paid to do this. At least not most of us. :) So no worries, I think I speak for most of your loyal fans when I say we'll be here no matter how long it takes!

I'd never stop coming here if there's a slim chance of felt hats on the horizon!!
Got the same IKEA chair, mine is all creaky and half- broken, but I still lurve it.
