The Next Ten Big Things

The holidays are over. My birthday has past. The decorations are down.
We're getting settled into a routine with Mom coming home 2 days before Christmas,
complete with the delivery of a hospital bed and medical equipment that took
out the electrical in half the house.
This is Chateau Inferno, not Mercy General.
So in between reveling, unwrapping, rearranging and unpacking,
there was rewiring. And not by me.
We called in the pros.
By now, you probably think I should be doing a little of this.
However, there was THIS.
Oh, and THIS.
The entryway just was NOT accommodating the stuff of six people.
Well it was.
Just badly.
And I cringed whenever I came home or left.
It was truly craptacular.
And we all know what happens when Mom isn't happy, don't we?
Which means the minute the decorations were packed, I made a list and we got busy.
So we're just going to take a few odds and ends, like shelves bought on clearance, scrap lumber, and baskets that have been in storage...
...and start painting.
Easy enough, right?
It's a start.
And we need a whole lot fixed around here still.
So let's get this organization underway, shall we?
We have a bunch of things prepped and ready to reveal.
What's in store? And what are you looking forward to the most?
1. Two seperate drop areas for coats, shoes and backpacks, minus the eyesore factor
2. A new home office area
3. Dresser redo. Seriously this time
4. Chandelier revamp
5. Recycled hurricanes
6. Did I mention we're buying PAINT this weekend? And not the spray variety

7. Fireplace facelift
8. Jewelry station
9. Wallpaper removal
10. Bar makeover
As always, these projects will require a minimal budget, so feel free to play along!
We'll let the cat out starting tomorrow.

I need some of your motivation! Box it up and send it to TN! I want to carve out a space for a bench/coat hooks, but no place. And too many 1/2 done projects to mention! Your amazing!

I am finally catching up on my blog reading! I'll say happy belated birthday here! The electrical stuff is scary...I'm married to an electrician...I know what can happen! I am so excited to see what you are going to put together for your entry. I battle the same thing and redid my utility but am still having somewhat of a problem!I'm thinking the problem may be with the people and not the stuff.... Maybe I need to redo my People?
Enjoy your weekend!
