My First Fall Arrangement in Two Years

Have you met Marty over at A Stroll Through Life? No? Marty does vignettes on her tabletops so elegant and casual that you suddenly feel like your surfaces look like teenagers just left random clutter everywhere in your house.
And then she hugs you.
I pop over there a couple of times a week in the desperate hope that some of the graciousness that skipped this Southern girl at birth will rub off.

Not to mention her photography is stunning. Mine is at the level of a two year old's crayon drawings. I do keep trying though.
So without further self-deprecation,  I present Autumn at a Beach House.
h
Simulated frost.
Simulated crow.
Simulated apples.
I like sticking to the same citrus-y palette and light coastal theme year round. After all, I'm in my Fall shorts, and I haven't dragged out my closed toe sandals yet.

Hey, I'm cuter than I thought. No wonder my husband sticks around.
So, this is my first real bit of seasonal decorating since the fire.
Normal feels pretty good, let me tell you.

I love it and my favorite is the crow. My other favorite is the shot of you, very cute picture and I'm sure your husband loves never having a dull moment too!

Looks great. It's fun to change it up and it must be in the air. I redid my dining room table for Fall last night!

Oh you crack me up. Love that pic of you and you definitely are cute. Your display is fabulous and I love the whole vignette. Your cloche is wonderful, such a pretty base. Thanks so much for linking to the party. Great fun. Hugs, Marty

Fun times! I need to start doing fall decor I think. It's time.

My fave photo is right under "hey I'm cuter". Great composition!

Ohh I like how you incorporate beachy into fall. You don't see that much, but the beach doesn't go away in the fall when you live on the coast!

Oh, I'm so inspired by your coastalness with fall! First of all I'm taken with that gorgeous mirror you have and the vignette is so pretty! I never realized how pretty shells would look with fallness! :)
You are as cute as a button! ;)
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hooray for another post-fire milestone. Very cornucopious, I love it! The simulated frost - did you do that, or did the sticks come that way? Cause I love them.

That's a pretty cloche, I love the big pumpkin with the raven too!

I think this looks great! The fact that you stuck to the white pumpkins, black crow and black twiggy things - totally works with the rest of your sea-inspired decorating! Nice job. I'm in love with that mirror, by-the-way.

And cute pic. :)

Wow, guys, thank you so much! I just got back from the hospital, and this is SUCH a nice surprise!

Sherri, not bad for 50, huh?

Liz and Sheila, would you believe this was a gold monstrosity of a mirror when I got it?

Michelle, The branches came with the little crystals on them. I got them at Michael's Crafts last fall in the Christmas decor section, and they were, as I recall, pretty cheap. They're wonderfully versatile.

That first paragraph is making me crack up. You did very very good. Marty does do it up right though. Your cloche is lovely and I adore that fancy mirror. hugs♥olive

Hi there! I'm visiting from Marty's cloche party, and I love your coastal Fall display! I'm a big fan of white pumpkins myself and they pop beautifully against the blue mirror, which is so pretty! I, too, love your branches ... and, I think the crow is such a fun touch on top of the pumpkin as well. Have a great day, Becca (Adventures in Decorating)

That's awesome, it must feel great to get back to normal. The crow is my favorite and I love how the mirror turned out!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I really like your autumn display, especially the cloche w/ apples, and those twig branches with the little crystals on them (did you get those at Hobby Lobby)?

Beautiful! Wish I had the time (and straight-jackets for the kids) to decorate my home that way!

Great job, Sunny! It must be so nice after all the hoopla your family has been through to decorate!! btw your daughter did a fantabulous job on the mirror - never realized it was that big!

That is very pretty - love the mirror.

I haven't mastered the art of a "vignette" yet! I probably can't spell it either! I'm just getting started with my fall decortating here.Fall is a little late arriving in the mountains this year. I grew up in South Florida and never new what "Fall" was! Are you familiar with The CSI Project blog? Check it out, I think you should enter that mirror!
Happy Fall!

Your vignette turned out great! I love your sense of humor, too!

I think you're doing just great hanging out with Marty! You are definitely holding your own with style, girl!

Thanks for all the wonderful ideas on our little stop here from Alphabe-Thursday.

You definitely get an A this week.
