Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Hard Core Remodeling but Were Afraid to Ask Part 38!

Okay, the guest bathroom is tiled.
 Relax, you'll get a tutorial.
We used a glossy white subway tile for a classic, clean, vintage look...

...that was really plain.
Sure, we saved some Washingtons doing it like this, but we sacrificed pizazz.
And here at
Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Hard Core Remodeling but Were Afraid to Ask!
we're all about some splash with our shortage of cash!
I sketched out an evil plan.
 Savannah then measured...
 ...marked...
 ...taped...
...using a level for perfect, straight lines...

 ...and gloated.
 (Sneak peek...
 ...at the master bedroom color.)
Samwow taped off and painted the dark vanity mirror a gloss white.
Do yourselves a favor and remember to sand any finish first.
We used a very fine grit.

The frame color is a darker aqua than the wall color.

The horizontal stripe is white to match the mirror.

The colors look good together, eh?
By the way, help us decide on a front door.
We needed a door with a light low enough for the homeowner to
see who's on the porch from her wheelchair.
Either choice will be painted brown as per the HOA.
Do we like the white one?
Or do we prefer the blue?

Take the white one!

The blue window is too narrow, and most of it is colored, opaque glass. Nothing worse than falling out of your wheelchair just trying to catch a glimpse.

Wait, the HOA demands all exterior doors must be brown? HOW BORING, I have fond, fond, dreams of owning a home with a bright zesty lime green door...

Do they specify which tone of brown? Because you could aim for a glossy drift wood color. That would be in keeping with the tropical sea theme you have inside.
