Keep Your Expectations High and Your Heels Low

I went clothes shopping yesterday after all my appointments.
It was actually something I had to do.I've lost 70 pounds now, and my 2X clothes
 weren't quite working.
I still have 10 to 15 pounds to go, so there was a Goodwill run involved for jeans,
and I needed some basics, like leggings, camisoles, and T-shirts.
I wanted to look like those great outfit boards you find on the internet.
Except for one little thing.
The shoes.
Those flats you see on Saturdays?
Yeah. THOSE are me.
Heels feel like this...
 Get the idea?
And what most women see as this...
...appears like this on my radar.
I passed up a few pairs of goodies that will keep me from ever turning this into a fashion blog.
No matter how sexy, it's how a shoe feels that registers in my mind.
So without further adieu, I'd like to share with you
My Shoe Perception.
Cringe all you want.

Now, I'm going to get a shoe horn, put on some jeans, and get a project done.
Later, I'll be putting my feet up.

Wow, Sunny! 70 lbs? I guess you needed a wardrobe intervention! I hear ya on the heels, I'm over 5 foot 8 and me in heels is like Lurch with lipstick on. :) Flats for me too.....hope all went well at your appts.

First of all, congratulations. That's a lot of weight - and I know the path hasn't been easy.

As for the shoes - they convey my feelings perfectly.
