"Hey, the Box from Jane is Here!"

Blogs. They aren't just good for inspiration.
Sometimes, you make actual friends.
Take my buddy Jane from The Borrowed Abode, with whom I will, with any luck, be sharing
a selection of tropical libations next month.
We have the same sensibility when it comes to redoing objects to make them useful again.
So when she did a little clutter clearing, she decided she could live without a few items,
but perhaps they'd be perfect for me.
And last weekend, I got a box just chock full of cool stuff.
This was Jane's guest bedroom.
Please notice the sconces and the little greenhouse on the top shelf.
They're mine now.
When the sconces were Jane's, they looked like this.
Pardon the fuzzy pic, Savannah and I both assumed the other had taken "befores."
After a couple of days at my place, they mysteriously turned spa blue. Gotta love the miracle of spray paint.
We then popped the mirrors back in and got out the Goop and the shells and the marbles.
A quick chug sip of wine, and the randomness ensued.
I liked the way the marbles mimicked the bubble motif of the piece.

Ooooo, shiny!

These are going in Savannah's room, which will have an underwater theme.
So let this be a lesson to you.
If you send it to me, I can't be trusted.
I will most probably alter whatever it is.
Because my name is Sunny, and I am a paintaholic.

Wow!!! I absolutely LOVE what you did to them!!

But something just popped into my head. Do human visitors to your natural habitat return home in a shade of spa blue? :)

Oh kick ass! I love it! I like how the light is reflecting off the mirror behind the glass stones, it must really make some nice lighting effects.

Love them! They are so pretty, I am of a tender where I am really starting to enjoy sparkle, any kind of sparkle! Sequins, crystals, glitter the shinier the better, I love the way the marbles shimmer in the candlelight! Thank you for sharing.
