It Sorta Rhymes with Orange

This is NOT the promised orange post where I actually use a traditional Fall color in my decorating. But there's a little bit of earthier tones to this, so we'll just call it a preview.
Tomorrow, it's ON.
I had a fairly dramatic arrangement in the Florida room with three cylinder vases, candles, and some tropical greenery. Oh, and little blown glass tree frogs.
Let's warm it up by starting with a blank slate.
...and clean tree frogs.
I'm using caramel apple scented candles, which is Sam's favorite...
...some lovely cinnamon scented pine cones...
...and a mix of clear and frosted marbles, acrylic acorns, and my spray painted acorns.
The other two vases were a matter of putting the jar candles in first and then adding my filler.
I inserted curly willow into the tallest vase and anchored it with pine cones to
cement the shape of my arrangement.
I inserted orchid floral stems in deep shades of amber and yellow for a little pop of color, and then backed them with two large tropical leaves.
Continue tucking in pine cones.
Then drop acorns in and let them sift through and come to rest randomly.

Add shells in creamy shades of white and tan as an accent.

And lastly, perch those Rainforest froggies on the rims of their updated digs.
Light up the night.

This adds a great shot of drama to the room, and the smell is amazing. I like when I can change something up this easily and it still looks right at home with our rooms.

Spoiler alert for tomorrow: there's Murano glass involved!

Looks so cool. Adding the glass frogs was a great idea. They seem to glow in the candle light. The orchid arrangement is beautiful. Glad to see you still have some acorns left!

ah! cinnamon scented pine cones are the greatest thing ever! I think my cats would eat them though (seriously, they aren't that smart)

I LOVE the tree frogs.

Definitely one thing I miss about Florida. The awesome little tree frogs that would hang out.

One thing I totally don't miss?

The flying cockroaches.

Shudder.
