Orange!

See? Even the blog is orange!
Decorating the house for the holidays for the first time in two years has really been a blast.
The thing I've enjoyed the most about starting from scratch is breaking away from the usual patterns I'd fallen into after years of using the same elements.
We'll start our little arrangement with a long low basket that I liberated (with permission) from a former employer and spray painted apple green.

I've been staring at these wonderful swirled glass pumpkins at Joann's for weeks,
drooling over everything but the price.
Last weekend, they were 90% off, however. It was funny; I was arranging them in the bottom of my cart, and a woman walked up and said, "What are you going to do with them? I want to copy you." I showed her, and she grabbed 8 herself. Has that ever happened to you? Savannah was highly amused and said I must just smell like a blogger. Does that mean I need another shower?
Using two low pedestals for variation, I started playing.
Those little swirls just make me smile.
I tucked in more cinnamon scented pine cones and acrylic acorns for texture and low sparkle, then a hurricane with a pear scented candle and white acorns, and finally the left over leaf doilies.

I liked that it still looked light and fresh with a citrus zing.
And it's low enough on the coffee table not to block the zombie carnage gracing the television screen, so it got a thumbs up from the Minions.
Now all that's left is the china hutch...

Those glass pumpkins are absolutely delightful and if I were next to you, I would have asked you the same thing. I smell a JoAnn's run in the near future.

Love the dye job you gave the blog Sunny. The arrangement with the glass pumpkins is super sweet. The price on those babies was mega sweet. You are right, we do need to go shopping together here soon.

Orange you talented? (Booooo!) 90% off, wow!!! They are gorgeous and the arrangement is so loverly, extra points for those cool punched leaves! To smell like a blogger, apply a dot of hot glue behind each ear. (Painful, but worth it to have legions of fans. Next, you will be avoiding paparazzi!)
