Thanksgiving Cake Stand

In case you missed our guest appearance yesterday at Dream Home DIY, I did exactly as everyone suggested I do and made a display cake stand for Thanksgiving and Christmas this past weekend! I shared my uber simple take on the Fall model; see what you think!
For this craft, you'll need:

3 semi circular clear glass bowls
1 clear glass plate
Goop adhesive
Decorative filler
First, heap the filler into one bowl and arrange it as you'd like it. Be creative.
How creative? This is the creepy train wreck we made for Halloween.

I used pine cones, white spray painted acorns, and some acrylic acorns from the
Dollar Tree for a little added sparkle.

Pile in your fillers and run a bead of Goop all the way around the rim of the bowl.

Set the second bowl inverted to form a seam.
Any excess can be scraped off with a razor when it dries.
Invert bowl number three and run a bead of Goop on the bottom.
Stack the sphere on top of that.
Goop the top sphere...
...and set the plate on top. You're done! That's it! All that's left now is drying time (about 4 hours), and you're ready for potpourri, a big chunky candle, or Aunt Millie's famous inedible spice cake. Be prepared for compliments, and another run to the Dollar Tree, because you'll be making more than one, trust me.

This is just a tiny touch of the orange I hinted at in the post below...

You are such a creative soul! I've been lurking around for a while, finally started a blog to meet some of you great girls (I'm from the South where we are girls no matter how old we are.) Don't want to miss out of anything you do so I'm about to join your fan club and become a follower. Now off to get the ingredients to recreate your creation.
