Time for a Project!

This vacation has been all about ticking things off of a long boring to do list, such as...
Vacation, Day 5: we're off to the DMV!!
It's okay, we livened it up with doctor's appointments, getting kids in college, having the cars collision inspected, and having the house termite treated.
 PAR-TAY!!!
But also on my list is a lot of clean up and storage, for which I've been saving boxes and containers.
Which has been driving my mother crazy.
So we'll just haul them out in batches and give them all 3 light coats of Rustoleum apple green.
We're using nothing more exciting than a straight sided beer box, a cookie tin, and the box Sam's new enameled pot came in. I removed all the guts and unnecessary cardboard.

A little hot glue and some coordinating ribbon trim...
...and we have new containers for the kitchen for almost free.
The tab closure on the biggest box is disguised with a bow that's simply a smaller loop hot glued around a larger loop.
Now pardon me, I have stuff to hide.
A lot of stuff.

Sweet trash-cycling as always! How does the spraypaint hold up on cardboard boxes over time?

I've got major organization to tackle. Now if only I could find the time. . .

Can't wait to see what you put in there, I'm nosy like that, and I want to see where you place those boxes, because they turned out really cute, and I use tons of boxes, for storage, but mine look like, well ugly boxes... Great idea. I can SOOO picture that blue avocado hanging in your kitchen too, btw, YAY!!!!

Hugs,

Bella

Oh, yes, you know how to partay for sure. Love the simplicity, much easier than fussing with fabric or mod podge. Yay! Things that match, quicker than quick! Happy St Pat's!

We have the same idea of a rockin par-tay! Can't wait for this weekend so I can sew up the hole in the trampoline net, do some laundry, & pay some bills! Don't know if I'll survive the hangover :)
Your storage looks great - does the rustoleum make the cardboard sturdier? It looks great.
