Amazing what's behind the walls of an old house. Dade County Pine from the 20's is so tough we were able to keep the main beam over the door, which is good because it's massive!
A few new support studs were added, and then Mario, one of the contractors, came over with his hydraulic jack. I don't have one of those, but I'm sorely tempted. That thing is seriously cool! Oh, and do we like the new light fixture? Relax, the real one is in my workshop.
It seems there was also a light fixture front and center at some point in time that just got walled up.
So, this super attractive door got popped out...
...and this one took it's place!
