Will you accept the explanation, mix the leveling compound as directed in a bucket,
shovel it onto the floor. a section at a time...
...and spread it with this, a giant squeegee.
It actually DOES level itself to a smooth surface!
Messy? Minimally.
Monkey simple? Definitely.
And once this dries, we'll be ready to put down the new flooring!
