For Spring and Summer, we did a predictable beach theme throughout the house with sand and shells.
Not to say we didn't love it.
But it was time to change the seasons.
So we gathered all our beachy goodies...
...and the glass tree frogs...
...and enthusiastically prepared to change out the decor!
Always save your vase filler.
Wash the vessels.
And now for the fun part. All you need for this is black river rock and white candles, all either on hand or picked up at the Dollar Tree.
The twisted twigs add dramatic height, but they don't block the diner's view.
We've decided Fall this year will have a starker, more natural feel, and this is just the beginning.
I think it's a good counterpoint to all the color in the house.

My local Dollar Tree should really give you commission. I can't tell you the number of times I've read your posts and then ran out to get the goodies that you have shown. I am going in just a bit to see if my dollar store carries those black river rocks. I NEED those!
I hope this post also means that you are feeling much better :)
I love it! Its amazing what you can do with sticks and rocks, lol. I've been planning some crafty ideas, but since its still so hot I've convinced myself that fall decorating will begin Oct. 1st.
The candles look so pretty in the glass jars...a very nice way to celebrate the season.
So glad that you are doing better.(-:
Cool ideas once again. Are you going to be posting regularly again? I've missed you. I hope all is much better. I got rid of my walking cast yesterday. Woo hoo!
You must be on the mend! Your arrangement is great. Those little frogs are very cute!
Way pretty tablescape, Sunny! I particularly like the fuzzy orange element in the last pic.
Agree, the naturals are perfect for harmonizing all your bold colors!
LOVE!!!!!! Those rocks and candles are perfect. As usual, you are inspiring a trip to the Dollar store... first moss balls, and now rocks. I'm going to have a freaking forest in my dining room. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
