Sneak Preview
It's that time of year again...Autumn.
Last year, we made all new decorations to replace the things that had melted.
This year, we have more ideas to come!
We'll be hauling the goodies out over the next two days to get the creativity started.
I'll include some links to last year's weirdness so you can follow the bouncing glue gun.
We still have no intention of keeping it normal.
So get ready to lighten up...
...with some unexpected colors...
...some really inexpensive projects...
...some touches that will lead you right through to Winter with editing...
...a little sparkle...
...some cheap tricks...
...a little shimmer...
...and other things we pretended to make work to hide our woefully bizarre taste.

Stop Whining About the Clutter
While you were snoozing on Sunday afternoon, the Minions and I were knee deep in a dilemma.
My hoarder-like stash of inspiration magazines that were avalanching in the living room.
They were a visual nightmare.
They took up tons of space.
Mom had no place to set a beverage on movie night.
Neither did I.
In short, this was not working.
We looked at those units that wrap around your couch like a low bookcase.
But have you priced them?
However, if you call around, your local wine or liquor shop usually gives these babies away for free.
And look! Just deep enough for magazine storage.
This is like playing with blocks.
Now for the real test: how much storage will this afford us?
TONS.
We haven't bolted this together yet. We wanted to check traffic flow and the practicality of the configuration before we made it permanent.
But I have to say, for free, this solution has us all pretty pleased so far. If it works out, we have some finishing touches planned as well.

Going Shopping
Shopping Alert!
Remember last year when we found these great double thickness placemats at Walmart and whipped up some Fall pillows for the sectional?
Did you love them?
Did you make them?

Yep, you have a second chance to make a tiny slit in the side, stuff, stitch, and enjoy an embroidered custom look.
They have a great new rectangular style too that I'm very tempted by.
So...
Going shopping. Headed for the Farmer's Market and Walmart.
