What the &;^%$#@ Are You Wearing Wednesday!?!?

21 years ago today, I was sporting this get up.

Pardon the grainy scanned photos. These pictures were from a time when images were captured on something called "film."
I'm the only woman on the planet who didn't stand in front of a mirror as a little girl with a pillowcase on my head, planning my wedding. So when my boyfriend of six months dropped suddenly to one knee in a crowded bar and proposed, I was completely stunned. And I pretty much winged it.
Enjoy the 1990 perm, please. Chortle all you want.
Please note the Chuck Taylor Converse sneakers in the wearer's color of choice with matching bow tie.
My girls, all stuffed into tea length navy velvet dresses in the Florida Summer heat.
Actually, half of them wore their frocks as holiday attire.
Happy Anniversary, Babe. We still dress funny.

I don't know how I missed this one!! Even with the scanned images, I can see how beautiful you were (and still are) and all the love and happiness flowing out of you both. Look at you trend setters, before it was trendy to wear Chuck Taylors (all the youngins seem to be doing that now)!!
Your bridesmaids dresses look almost identical to mine but they were black velvet and it was labor day weekend so they were hot too.
Happy Anniversary!!!

Happy Anniversary to the beautiful bride! (And you weren't the only woman not planning a wedding from age embryo. I eloped because I didn't feel like dealing with all the planning and coordination that one day would require :)
