A Quick Fix

When we got rid of our shabby termite infested dressers and moved in the painted lady, we lost some storage. Okay, a lot. I needed a solution to that, but I didn't want to blow big bucks on a closet organizer because I'm toying with sledging out those walls and turning the 3 spaces into one relatively gigantic dressing area. So commitment shy little me bought the following:
What Samwow is holding up is a pine shelving kit from KMart that only banged my wallet $30. It's solid, serviceable, and about as exciting as pulling weeds. So we did a little paint inventory to see if  we had enough on hand to give this a little shot of color.
 We did.
Satin Aqua and Gloss White from Rustoleum's Painter's Touch line.

The instructions for assembly were basically a picture of the thing already put together.
If you're handy, this is not a problem.
We'll admit to a little trial and error.

And perhaps a couple of manufacturing inaccuracies that required brute force finessing.

However, after a brief bout of lumber wrestling and maybe a couple of hits with the drill, my new aqua and white shelving is now ready to take up residence in the closet.
For $30, I'm happy as can be with it.
Let's get those T-shirts off the floor.

Wow. Paint made a huge difference. It turned it from blah to WOW!!!

I love those instructions that aren't really instructions. I swear it's really a psychology experiment to see how frustrated people get with their lack of directions.

The shelving looks awesome!! Kim K. said it perfectly... blah to WOW!

Almost bought one of those at KMart the other day up here in Uniontown. It was on sale for $19.99 here. Love the paint. You have made it you for sure!

Thank you, Ladies!

The smaller 3 shelf one is on sale here for $19.99; I wanted more vertical storage space than that though, and I have a basket for my flats that will slide under this one. I'm talkin' MAXIMIZE.

Ahhh. You've gotta love that China craftsmanship! In the end though it is fabulously beautiful. I'm thinking way too pretty for a closet. :)
