Does This Reflect Well on Us?

The bedroom project is going well, despite scattered spousal grumbles and resistance.
The man knows he can't stop me if I'm determined.
So some older, dull, dated things made their way onto the lawn Friday and got a light sanding, a coat of Rustoleum Spray Primer, and then 2 light coats of Rustoleum 2X Gloss White.
Then they got hauled inside because the weather would not cooperate.
Saturday they got a final coat.
The very top of the cheval mirror got a good smear of Goop, my favorite silicone adhesive. I simply tilted the mirror so that it was horizontal. Don't attempt this vertically or you'll find out why they call it "Goop."
Apply flat backed marbles, beads, sea glass and shells liberally.
 This is just an accent.

We're going to let the lines of the piece speak for themselves.
Allow this to dry completely before you return it to the correct position.
 Remove the tape and newspaper.
 Razor any rough edges.
Okay, let's get this back upstairs and finish the next piece!

Nicely done and I'm always impressed on how your re-purposing is a family-adventure. Can't wait to get the grand tour of the master bedroom. Best wishes with the new job too!!

Oh so pretty!! I used to have that same mirror. It didn't survive. Love what you did with yours.

Adorable upgrade from that blandly ordinary 'before.' I love how you always think big. I can never see stuff like this in my head!

Spousal grumbles? What, when you turn an ugly piece of trash into something really worth looking at and into? (sorry, but I really dislike the colour the mirror had before. It reminds me of nicotine- stained office furniture!) Glad you didn't give in to grumble- mumble, it looks a million bucks now.

What a great idea! It is so fun to see how all of your pieces really "reflect" you and your style....like how I did that little pun there? LOL! Thanks so much for linking this up to Inspiration Friday this week!
