A Little Birdie Told Me...

...you might like a little peek at the tree!

When you hear "Florida Style Christmas Tree," I know what you're expecting:
Flamingos.
Bare chested Santas in Hawaiian shirts.
Rudolph with a margarita.
Elves in Speedos.
Sleighs being pulled by iguanas.
Blown glass Canadians with sunburns.
Flip flops.

Seriously, when do I do things you're expecting?
I have SOME class, people!

These little Dollar Tree doves are scattered throughout the house to represent the peace we celebrate during this season.

These little BEACH BALLS whip up fast and can be used to display favorite vacation souvenirs.

Silver shells add a coastal glow.

The blue lights lend the feel of water.

Plain iridescent balls give the illusion of bubbles.

Our tree skirt is nothing more than a few yards of aqua tulle twisted around a string of 100 lights.
And of course, our new TREE TOPPER!
Ropes of wired pearls complete the look.

Let it glow....
 Frothy. Beachy. Bliss.

Totally!!! Love that sparkly tree skirt. The tree is framed so nicely in your doorway...never thought of putting a tree right there, we always put Baby in a corner. Our tree has been tagged, cut and set in place..lights on last night but of course we need more.....I'm getting there.

Sunny - the tree turned out really pretty!!!!

What part of Florida are you in? I grew up in Bradenton and Wauchula (and briefly in Sarasota, LOL)....we moved alot. Basically just back and forth...back and forth....country to town...country to town. ;)

Oh....technically we lived in Ona, Florida (Wauchula was the 'big town' closest to us). LOL

No flamingos? No sunburned Canadians? I'm disappointed. :)

I LOVE your tree! It's absolutely gorgeous! I love the strings of pearls and the silver shells! It looks like something you would see in a magainze or something. :) You did a great job!

The tree is wonderful! All is calm, all is bright. Oh, Sunny - Elves in Speedos? I did NOT need that image in my head! It burns! It burns!

Fabulous! Love the beachy tree theme. And your emphasis on peace.

Now as for iguanas pulling sleighs...I'd really like to see that! Not so sure about bare-chested Santas. What about bear-chested ones? :)

You might be a real estate whore if you were too busy drooling over the oh-so-gorgeous wood-french-doors complete-with-amazing-arch to notice whatever this post was actually about. I can't believe you have hidden those doors from me all this time; HOW COULD YOU?

I'm sure whatever else was in the post was lovely and/or blue and silver.
