So, the Dollar Tree has these little babies in stock and priced for wanton crazed crafts.
So what do you feel like doing to them?
Well here was our first impulse...hellooooooooo, Rustoleum!
Nothing like a shiny blank black canvas, eh?
Cut out the bottom with a serrated knife, making an opening large enough for a light source.
No candles, guys.
I went with Dollar Tree tap lights.
How's that for bright?
Now you'll need flat backed marbles, gems, or any translucent embellishment.
Drill or poke a whole buncha holes in the foam pumpkin.
Hot glue a gem over each hole.
You see where this is going, don't you?
Poke and glue to fill any gaps.
Turn on your light and inspect in a dark hallway.
I also got a glittery vine to poke near the stem.
Now, let's clean up those glue webs and get project number 2 under way!

Love it, I had no idea that $ Store had these!
I've seen a lot of people using those dollar store pumpkins in a lot of different ways, but this idea is super awesome!!!

Hope to see you there!
Ohhh, love this. I got some of those pumpkins painted white and glittered. I have some clear glass pebbles too. I am so going to make this.
Wild! Love this idea - the tap light is brilliant! And the black paint is gorgeous on those punkins.
BTW, I have been away from the blogs for a while, and just now saw you were sick. How are you? Please be better!
