I know I've done this before, but did you see THIS on the internet, courtesy of Kelsey from Tattered and Inked? I sure did, and I ran to Walmart and scored these placemats for $1.50 on clearance! Because making pillows out of placemats is COOL!
For this quick whip up, have on hand:
A two layer placemat
Scissors
A stitch ripper
Thread
Needle
Stuffing
A wooden spoon
Ready?
Rip out a small area of the stitches. Maybe clean the spray paint off of your nails first. People already think you're a little weird.
Stuff. I used a wooden spoon to tuck the fiber into the placemat points.
Lookin; leafy, huh?
Stitch it closed.
Very cool idea. I imagine you could find placements for every holiday to create seasonal pillows.
ReplyDeleteThat was quick work for a cool pillow! Bravo.
ReplyDeleteI loved these placemats when I saw them, but forgot to grab a few on the way out. Silly me becuase these are perfect!
ReplyDeleteI totally love this!!! They look much better as pillows than as placemats really :)
ReplyDeleteI love those! What a fun and easy (and cheap) project, too. They look so great all puffed up with stuffing! :)
