Surf's Up!

 A pair of trendy, designer style hurricanes for under $7? Heck yeah! I wanted something sleek and coastal for my dresser, and these are perfect. You'll need a trip to Walmart and the Dollar Tree for this.

 Small tealight cups, Dollar Tree, 2 for a dollar.

 Pebbles, new at Walmart, $3.99. This color combination os Sea Horizon. They're tiny spherical sea glass bits.

 Kinda cool, huh?

 You'll need Goop, my favorite silicone adhesive. It goes on clear and dries to a stiff, rubbery finish, which is great when you're joining glass together.

 And you'll need two tall cylindrical vases from the Dollar Tree.

 Spread your Pebbles on some newspaper.

 Ponder how cheaply made this couch must be.

 Now for the messy part. Draw a free form shape in Goop about a third to half way up the cylinder. Draw straight sides down to the bottom, then trace the base of the vase. You only want to work with a third of the surface at a time.

 Fill in the lop sided box you just drew.

 Smear it with your finger so there are no gaps.

 Roll the silicone covered third of the vase in the Pebbles.

 Press them in with a clean finger if you happen to have one.

 Scoop up more Pebbles and fill in any gaps, pressing them in.

 Grab your second vase. Lather, rinse, repeat.

 Allow those sections to set, then start on the second third of each vase.

 See how the free form edges have a wave effect?

 Now grab those little candle cups.

 Slather with Goop...

 ...and set your vase on top.

 Now let's light them up!
