What the &^%$#@ Are You Wearing Wednesday!?!?

What I Wore Wednesday.
A very popular post across the boggosphere wherein
you show off your well coordinated outfit of the day and tell where each lovely piece came from, highlighting bargain steals.
When I comment on these posts, I often get back a reply encouraging me to join in.
Really?
This is no fashion blog.
And I am not a fashionista.
I amire people who can put together a beautiful outfit,
but I know I'm just not one of them.
Flats, capris, a dress T-shirt, all in black, and some diamonds. No make up.
We're done.
But we do try to deliver around here, so in that spirit, may we present a new
feature here at Life in Rehab-
What the &^%$#@ Are You Wearing Wednesday!?!?
Because I have three teenagers.

Our young model today is Savannah, age 16, a mathlete and seamstress extraordinaire
with a penchant for accessorizing with hardware.
She has straight A's and starts college next year simultaneously with her junior year of high school.
She can wear whatever the &^%$#@ she wants.
Corset: Renaissance Festival. Convertible pants: Tripps from the Hot Topic website's clearance page, $11.97. They also come with the rest of the legs. They zip on.
Boots: $14 at Dollar General. Blouse: I bought it in 1984, so I have no idea.

Jewelry: one bottle of fairy dust on a silk chord and an art glass choker from the 80's.
Bag: $1 messenger style shopping bag from Hot Topic.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled projects, already in progress.

  3. FINALLY! The fashion post I was waiting for ever since I saw the first H&M outfit popping up on a blog.
Most of my stuff now comes from the charity shop, because I don't want to go to the normal shops and buy "made in a third world country by 7 year olds so we can sell it dirt cheap" and even less do I want to pay full price, steal or no steal.
Elegant for me is when the shirt has no cat hair on it and over- the- top chic is an outfit not including jeans.
Rock on, Savannah, I love those boots!

  5. How cute! What's delightful is that your daughter played along for her mother. It's been 20+ years since I had a teenager in the home, but I still remember the wild swings -- delightful & a joy to behold one day and, eh, not so much the next! Now, one of mine is the father of 4 kiddoes. Hee,hee! The other is the mother of "tween" twin girls. OMG, watching "pay-back" will be DELIGHTFUL!

  6. This is so much more fun than WIWW. :) If Savannah and I were in HS together, I can tell we would have been friends. Becuase I wore $^%$#@ like that to school all the time!

IN fact, I still have my fuzzy hot pink leopard-print pants from Hot TOpic. I'll have to put them on for a What the $^%$#@ Are you Wearing Wed!

  8. I love you. The. end. What the $%$%) I Wore Wed is so much better than the original concept.

She's better dressed than me for sure! I'm wearing a "Mom" outfit today. Jeans, hoodie and running shoes - better than yesterday's yoga pants! Call Stacey & Clinton!

  11. What a great young lady! You must be so proud of her. I can hardly wait to see more of her creativity. I wonder who she inherited it all from???

  12. I approve of this outfit! Pirate punk for the win!

@Dharma - It should be "Where's My Wine Wednesdays." One of the grocery stores up by me carries some fantastic fruit wines from Michigan. These aren't your Arbor Mist either. Apple, Pear, Strawberry, etc. The Apple wine is almost a bit ciderish. Quite good.
