Good-Bye Christmas!

What did we do for my birthday?

We removed every shred of Christmas, spruced up, cleaned, and maybe clipped silk poinsettias to Thom.
In all fairness, he seemed to feel very pretty.

 Murray wasn't quite as helpful.
Just after Thanksgiving, I hit a clearance sale at Home Goods and scored some snazzy open stock crab dinnerware just for the hutch.

The dining room looks fresher already.

  1. I love taking taking our Christas decor almost as much as I like putting it up. The fresh, uncluttered feel after everything is boxed up makes me smile! Tell Thom, blue is definatley his color lol

  2. I covet your Home Goods dishes. Heck, I'm envious of the fact that you have a Home Goods store near you. We need to drive 2.5 hours to get near one. Your son knows how to make cleaning fun! I hope you had a fab birthday!

  15. Happy Birthday. Your maid/butler looks like quite a character. He must be a hoot to have around the house.

Love the shell tureen. Great just to look at, but it would be super to use it for serving a chowder.

I love that crabby dinneware! Sweet Score!!

Love getting my house back after the holidays, it looks so big and empty-ish but I don't have new dishes to cheer me up. Maybe a trip to HG is in order!!!
