It's a Piece of Cake!

Okay, ready? Let's bang out the first little slice of spooky!

Today, we're going to make a Halloween cake plate that might even scare people away from the cupcakes!

You're going to need:

Three glass bowls, all semi-spherical
One glass plate
A bag of skulls
Plastic spiders
Sphagnum moss from the garden bench

...and Goop. This makes watertight seals in your projects; I use it to repair cake stands that separate from their bases too. It's handy stuff.

Flip your first bowl over and run a bead of Goop around the bottom.

Set the second bowl right side up on top of that and start filling it with moss, skulls, and a few spiders for a little extra added creepy.

Run Goop around the top rim of the bowl...

...and invert the last bowl on top of the second for a snow globe effect.

Chilling, huh?

Another bead of Goop...

...and then set the plate on top of your stack! You're done!

Allow this to dry for 24 hours.

Our little spiders were nothing more than a pack of 50 rings with the backs snipped off.
