Frighteningly Arranged

The big night is creeping up on us, and with all the goodies we've made, it was time to make some adjustments to our main treat dispensing area.
Let's do a little tweaking, shall we? Blank slate time.

There was a quick trip to Walmart for 5 yards of black tulle. This was a replacement item. The original yardage purchased ended up becoming an emergency Pikachu tutu.
But we all know how things like that happen, right?

I first added a little height with an overturned wine crate which I slipped under the netting.
The tulle was then gathered like so much evil bridal veil and draped at either end of my massive dresser.
We added big bows that tied the display to our wreaths by using the same wire edged ribbon.

The beaded skull charger came back into play.

My mother has had this 150 year old hour glass since I was a child, and eerily enough, the sand is no longer flowing.

Nothing like a creepy title or two from Bram Stoker to Stephen King, all stacked on my copy of the Complete Works of William Shakespeare. Now that guy knew horror!

We'll bring back the glittery elements.

And of course, the fun homemade projects...

Did I mention we dress as Scottish ghosts to dole out goodies?
That fabulous castle is actually an incense burner, so smoke will be curling from it in the dark.

We'll have plenty of flickering candles to draw attention to the scene.
I couldn't resist a little dash of frog.
I think we're ready.
Go ahead....knock.

  6. Wine is an integral component. Chardonnay or Sangria? And I'll hold the cheesy wiener roll ups until you get here.

  16. How cute! We don't get trick or treaters out here in the wilderness, so I don't even decorate. I'll bet your house is the most popular one on the block!
