I love this lamp. I like simplicity of the white curves, and I was really astonished when the ceiling fell in on it that it wasn't pulverized. Unfortunately, the tall pleated silk aqua shade that came with it was. Horribly. It was a total loss.
Target had this pretty little number for $7, and after living with it for a month, I had to admit that it lacked the OOMPH it needed to really shine. So what do we have in the trim bag?
Let's grab the glue gun and run a little aqua grosgrain ribbon around the edge for starters.
Now we're going to carefully hot glue some of this spangly ribbon trim to the inside of the shade so it just peeks out.
Now we have a nice little pop of flirty flair.
I think I have a couple of other shades that could do with a little makeover...
That turned out very nice. I like that the circles compliment the curve of the base.
