Keep Home Simple did The End of the Paper Pile Up. I fell in love with her simple sorter, which she made mostly with supplies she had on hand.

Why did I love it? Well...um...

 

Anyway, after a quick spray of Apple Green, the basket I had in mind was ready to go. I measured the inner dimensions and cut 4 pieces of cardboard 16 inches by 9 inches for a fairly snug fit.

I sized the fabric simply by folding it over the cardboard and snipping away, leaving a little extra on the sides for a hem. Are you sick of this print yet?

 To make this maintenance free and wipe clean, guess what we're going to use?

 Coat one side of the cardboard...

 ...and then just smooth the fabric over it, carefully pressing out any air bubbles. You can tug the cloth tight to help with this.

Now slather MP all over the top of your fabric, double folding "hems" on three sides so there are no raw edges.

Use a little more if you need to.

Once that side is dry, flip them over and spread MP liberally on the other side. Let it dry completely.

 

Not bad so far, eh? We aren't done though. Grab your hole punch and find the top center of each divider.

Go right through all three layers, then add a tag!

Now we're ready!

So now when I get home and sort the mail, there won't be just a big pile to deal with on the weekends. And with my message center back up, this is going to look coordinated and perfect.
