Koozie Rehab

Haley over at The Autocrat made some adorable Summertime Koozies, and of course I simply had to have some of my very own.
So I started with this marvelously classy koozie, some fabric, ribbon, and hot glue.
Measure your fabric so that it's an inch taller than your koozie and an inch wider.
Fold 1/2 inch hems on the top, bottom, and one end and press into place with a hot iron.

Now just hot glue the fabric to your koozie so that there are no raw edges.
Finish with the trim of your choice.
Add an icy beverage!
Much better than plain old foam rubber.
 I didn't stop there either.
I had several projects going at once, and well, the Mod Podge was right THERE, so I figured, let's experiment a little...
How'd that work out?
I actually preferred this. The fabric seemed sturdier.

C’mon, you know you’re looking for that old World’s Best Dad koozie from the picnic last summer and some fabric scraps, aren’t you?
If you decide to make one, let us know how yours turns out!

  1. I could live with those koozies...the ugly ones around here are always at risk of "accidentally" falling into the garbage can! haha
thanks for the idea...I might just try that if I get a few moments!!!

  2. How cool! That is one thing I would never even think of modge podging, for fear the foam would be odd with the fabric. Those turned out so cool! Love them!

  7. I've noticed a theme here with you and your crafts lately...a lot of adult beverages involved. When can I come over?

  8. Rebekah,

With a burned out house and a wrecked gazebo? Damned skippy I've popped a cork. And if you're ever in the area on tour, I'll get the cork screw and the bottle opener out for sure.

  25. I have 900 drink cozies from a failed business. I've tried giving them away but no one will take them. Well, to be honest, if they wanted any they had to take a box of 100 lol

Now this project I could get into. I could also market the drink cozies with this idea and maybe be able to sell the box of 100 for a dollar and make some big bucks! Seriously, I bet I can give them away if they have an idea of how to get rid of our logo.

AWESOME! You are now my new best friend :)
