6103 1/4

This next project has been all over the internet.
I'd already made house number planters HERE...

When I saw Amy's project HERE, I REALLY wanted to try it anyway.
When I saw the colors BRANDY used, I knew I had to try it.

I used azalea pots to make a slightly smaller version. You need three graduated sizes and a saucer to put under the largest pot. I used Rustoleum Spa Blue, Berries, Aqua, and Apple Green for my colors.
I printed out or address and passed it off to Savannah who traced it onto silver contact paper...
...and cut it out for me.
I drew a straight line on the pot in pencil, applied the numbers, erased the line, then sealed it withe three coats of clear gloss. Nice, huh?
Choose your plants. I used ivy, purslane, and pentas. The thriller, spiller, and filler rule was followed!
I filled the bottom pot with dirt to just under 4 inches from the rim and set the next pot inside. Repeat, top with the third pot. Plant your pentas.
Tuck the trailing plants into the gaps in the lower pots.
So why 6103  1/4?
This is going on the patio by the doggie door! I have to build steps for them, so I thought a little address planter would add some charm to it. And it's small enough to be portable for now while we're still working.

I needed a craft break. Seriously.

  1. This is one I'm going to have to try! You really have a 1/4 in your addy? I've never seen that. The black loveseat looks great with the newly done planter!

  2. Nope, the address here is just 6103. The 1/4 was in honor of the tiny little entrance it's going to grace! And thank you!

  11. These are great. I thought about doing it for my apartment, but there would be temptation for someone to pick them up and drop them. :) But when I buy a house, I'll totally do it.

  14. Hi Cielo! You were commenting on the right project. I usually do a post on the day I link up letting my readers know where I am by featuring the buttons. That way, if I'm submitting an older project like this one, my folks will still be able to discover you! If that's not acceptable just let me know, and thanks for hosting!
