What the &^%$#@ Are You Wearing Wednesday!?!?
What I Wore Wednesday.
A very popular post across the boggosphere wherein
you show off your well coordinated outfit of the day and tell where each lovely piece came from, highlighting bargain steals.
When I comment on these posts, I often get back a reply encouraging me to join in.
Really?
This is no fashion blog.
And I am not a fashionista.
I amire people who can put together a beautiful outfit,
but I know I'm just not one of them.

Flats, capris, a dress T-shirt, all in black, and some diamonds. No make up.
We're done.
But we do try to deliver around here, so in that spirit, may we present a new
feature here at Life in Rehab-
What the &^%$#@ Are You Wearing Wednesday!?!?
Because I have three teenagers.
Our young model today is Savannah, age 16, a mathlete and seamstress extraordinaire
with a penchant for accessorizing with hardware.
She has straight A's and starts college next year simultaneously with her junior year of high school.
She can wear whatever the &^%$#@ she wants.
Corset: Renaissance Festival. Convertible pants: Tripps from the Hot Topic website's clearance page, $11.97. They also come with the rest of the legs. They zip on.
Boots: $14 at Dollar General. Blouse: I bought it in 1984, so I have no idea.
Jewelry: one bottle of fairy dust on a silk chord and an art glass choker from the 80's.
Bag: $1 messenger style shopping bag from Hot Topic.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled projects, already in progress.

I Have to Take a Leek...
Sam made two amazing bean soups this weekend, and he hung onto the
discarded leek ends for me to play Doctor Frankengardener on.
Step one: plant.
Step two: wait.
Step three: keep waiting. Get distracted.
Check out the Feline Overlord destruction wrought upon the scallion experiment.
I'm checking for onion breath now to determine the culprit.
Meanwhile, let's safeguard the other plantings.

Jane at The Borrowed Abode sent me a few of her castoffs, including this cool mini greenhouse.
It needed a little more oomph, so I made a decoupaged tile platform for it.
It works for me, and the scallions have remained unmolested.
Oh, back to the leeks...
It looks like those sprout nicely too!
Wanna pop by for dinner?
Monday Mambos and Tuesday Tangos!
I know, I know, I didn't do a Monday party post.
I have a good reason..
Mom's back in the hospital.
Yes, AGAIN.
The ER staff actually calls me by name now.
Savannah parked the car while I got Mom checked in, and when she dashed in to join us the security guard looked at her
and said, "Oh, you're with the redhead, right? Here's your ID."
Sheesh.
It's just pneumonia this time, so no fretting. She looked great this morning.
